Come to meet GWL/Power at the InterSolar 2013 in Munich Germany. The exhibition takes place on July 19th to 21st, 2013. Together with our partners we will be showing components and solutions to produce and store electric energy. We will be displaying affordable solar panels 20Wp to 280Wp, direct solar invertors and micro-invertors, the Energy Storage Solutions using high capacity lithium cells from small cells 40AH to large cells 400AH. We welcome all friends, partners, customers and everybody to come to meet us at InterSolar 2013.
Testing the ESS solution - 1.5 MegaWatt of cycled storage reached
We keep running and testing the Energy Storage Station. During each cycle we store and release about 5 kWh of energy. For testing we make 3 cycles a day. In the last 100 days we made 300 cycles already and stored and released the total of 1.5 MegaWatt of energy.
The Li-POLY are dangerous! Boeing needs to learn this as well
The li-polymer batteries (with 3.6V voltage) are quite dangerous. They can burn or even explode. We strongly DISCOURAGE to use the li-ion (or li-poly) batteries in any kind of aviation applications.
We strongly recommend using the safe LiFePO4 cells that do not burn, do not explode and are thermally very stable.

FAQ: Transport of batteries - why restrictions?
Transport of certain goods classified as Dangerous Goods (ADR) need to follow global transport limitations. Even though LiFePO4 batteries are extremely durable against abuse and cannot explode, the LiFePO4 technology is still listed as dangerous under category CLASS 9 (Miscellaneous). All classes of ADR are following regulation of transport presented by ICAO Technical Instructions, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and the IMO International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code.
In partnership with TNT, we provide safe transport of batteries to many destinations in Europe. Check with us for the updated list of locations in Europe.
For delivery to other locations, we recommend that you arrange your own courier or shipping agent to handle the shipment of the dangerous goods to your country.

The Winston company (formerly Thunder Sky) management and workers gathered to celebrate the 14 year aniversary of the Winston company operation. Mr. Winston Chung, the founder of the Thunder Sky group addressed the meeting personally. Fourteen years ago the Thunder Sky was the first company to start with large capacity lithium cells.
