Answer: The demand for quality lithium batteries is growing. However only few producers can manufacture high capacity cells with guaranteed quality at good price. This means that the demand is increasing. When demand is increasing the price is increasing as well.
Additionally the costs of the raw materials (the chemical products and metals) are growing rapidly. This is another key reason the price of the batteries is growing high. The lithium batteries are mainly manufactured in China. The production costs in China are as well increasing: labor costs increase, the energy and transportation fee increase, the local government fees and taxes increase.
The conclusion is simple: the price of the lithium batteries will be growing.
